Procera Networks to Present on Monetization Strategies for Emerging Market Telcos at AfricaCom 2013

Opportunities Emphasized Over Challenges as Africa Is Poised for Explosive Subscriber Growth

FREMONT, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 6, 2013) - Procera Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: PKT), the global Internet Intelligence company, today announced it will be speaking and showcasing its carrier-grade PacketLogic™ PL7810 at AfricaCom 2013, November 12-14 at the Cape Town Convention Centre in Cape Town, South Africa.

According to Pyramid Research, the Africa and Middle East region is expected to surpass 1 billion mobile subscribers by the end of this year, becoming only the second region to do so following Asia-Pacific. As this vast quantity of new subscribers come online for the first time, regional service providers need to be prepared with modern monetization strategies that leverage subscriber analytics to complement "the new Internet experience."

On Wednesday, November 13 at 4:50 p.m. SAST, Procera's senior vice president of Global Sales and Services, Paul Gracie, will deliver a session titled, "What services for LTE? Data, Content, & Apps Strategies." During his presentation, he will elaborate on designing service-oriented mobile networks through superior intelligence and enforcement capabilities, gaining intelligence and usage analytics by mobile subscribers, and methods to capitalize on this intelligence through value-based service offerings including application-based and content-aware services. Analytics provided by Procera's solutions enable African mobile operators to create service plans based on their unique subscriber usage trends or most popular applications, and to monetize OTT video and VoIP applications. Revenue Express, announced by Procera in Q2 2013, is widely seen as an ideal low cost solution for carriers looking to rapidly generate service offerings, allowing them to compete with larger Tier 1 wireless operators.

In addition to speaking at the event, Procera will showcase the full lineup of the company's Intelligent Policy Enforcement products at booth #P44. Procera's Dynamic LiveView scored 4.5 Diamonds in the 2013 Broadband Technology Report's Diamond Technology Reviews last month, echoing industry sentiment that Procera has the leading real-time subscriber analytics platform.
