Procera Networks Secures Private Investment Contribution From Long-Term Board Member Tom Saponas

LOS GATOS, CA--(Marketwire - September 18, 2008) - Procera® Networks Inc. (AMEX: PKT), a developer of Evolved Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) solutions providing traffic awareness, control and protection for complex networks, recently announced that the company has secured $6 million in private placement financing. The lead investor, with a $1 million contribution, is Mr. Tom Saponas, former CTO of Agilent Corporation and a member of Procera's Board of Directors since April 1, 2004.

"I have observed the innovation and quality of Procera's technology and products over many years," Saponas said. "Today, the management team and overall strategy are also aligned to deliver the results I expect."

This investment contribution will allow Procera to accelerate the hiring and training of Field Engineers and accelerate the purchase of inventory for its recently announced high-end platform, the PacketLogic PL10000.

"We are delighted with Tom's added commitment to the company," stated James Brear, Procera Networks' CEO. "Our objective was to do a small, but quick and efficient financing round so as to be better able to satisfy the increasing demand for our products."
