Procera Receives $6 Million Second Follow-On Order From Leading North American Cable MSO

Tier-One Cable Operator Further Extends Use of Intelligent Policy Enforcement Technology

FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 14, 2011) - Procera Networks, Inc. ("Procera") (NYSE Amex: PKT), the intelligent policy enforcement company, today announced it has received a $6 million second follow-on order from a leading North American Cable MSO. This second follow-on order comes just six months after the MSO awarded an initial $2 million follow-on order in April 2011.

Procera's PacketLogic technology is being deployed in all of the MSO's geographies, replacing a leading competitor. Procera first won the operator's business in 2010 and expects further growth as the operator expands its footprint and continues the competitive replacement.

"This significant second follow-on order reflects Procera's strength in mature markets and the growing importance of reporting and analytics capabilities for this customer," said Cam Cullen, vice president of global marketing at Procera.

"MSOs need to understand what type of traffic and applications are driving network usage. They require reliable and detailed analytics that they can use to formulate new service plans and target demographics. Our reporting on video usage, quality of experience and popularity of content providers is priceless when growth forecasts for capital expenditures require detailed information quickly," he said.

Business intelligence provided by Procera gives service providers accurate subscriber and service plan awareness that is critical to maintaining a high quality of experience and a personalized customer experience. In addition, Procera is working with the MSO to enhance its customer portals, thereby enabling a more interactive relationship with customers. This is due to the flexibility of Procera's PacketLogic Subscriber Management platform, and the ease of integrating with customer management systems.

"Our Intelligent Policy Enforcement Solutions enable operators to charge according to services, not just consumption, and to create innovative new services that are personalized according to what subscribers want," said Mr. Cullen.

The follow-on order consists of PacketLogic PL8720 series devices. Procera will recognize the revenue from this follow-on order over the next several quarters.

Procera's PacketLogic network intelligence platforms are comprised of the newest generation intelligent policy enforcement technology. They deliver the scalable performance and real-time analytics necessary for network operators to differentiate themselves by assuring subscribers a baseline quality of service and an improved quality of experience through new services. PacketLogic platforms are based on deep packet inspection technology via the company's proprietary Datastream Recognition Definition Language (DRDL™).
