Produce Safety & Security International, Inc. Completes SOP for Loss Reduction Program for Retail Chains' Fresh Produce Departments

PRESCOTT, AZ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- February 10, 2006 -- Produce Safety & Security International Inc. (OTC: PDSC) ("PDSC"), a sanitation disinfectant process supplier to the food and medical industries, is pleased to announce that it has completed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for cost reduction savings for use in retail produce departments.

PDSC will begin implementation of the SOP by late February 2006, although the program is ready for immediate service in the Prescott and Northern Arizona area. The goal of the SOP inspection process is to improve efficiencies in the Food Industry, by reducing fresh produce loss. The program will provide a loss reduction audit for each individual store's produce department.

Inefficiencies in many produce departments result in lost potential income for most food retailers, up to several thousand dollars per week. Inefficiencies include over ordering, improper inspection at time of store delivery, failure to properly protect and display the produce, refrigeration failure, improper rotation, and failure to trail sales of produce. PDSC will be preparing proposals to be sent to retail chains, distributors and food service. PDSC believes the potential cost savings for a 100-store chain may be over $100,000.00 per week.

"We will provide instruction seminars for the SOP program nationwide. The seminars will include demonstrations of how we will provide fresh produce departments a management tool to reduce their daily and weekly losses. We feel the seminars will present a golden opportunity to establish quality relationships with many key retailers, in a very positive environment and demonstrate, in most cases, the loses are typically valued at many multiples of the program's cost," stated Clarence W. Karney, CEO of PDSC.
