Professional Institute Launches New Awareness Campaign In Atlantic Canada

HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwired - Feb. 13, 2015) - The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC) is launching a new advertising campaign in Atlantic Canada aimed at raising Canadians' awareness of its members' contribution to their well-being and security.

The ads, which can be viewed at http://www.pipsc.ca/bettertogether, will run for four weeks beginning on February 16, 2015 in several of Atlantic Canada's major urban centres:

  • Fredericton, Moncton and Saint John, New Brunswick (bus posters);
  • Halifax, Nova Scotia (bus posters); and
  • Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island (posters in Charlottetown Mall).

"Our members take enormous pride in the work they do on behalf of all Canadians," said PIPSC President Debi Daviau. "With this campaign, we want to reassure people that, in spite of the federal government's austerity budgets of the past few years, public service professionals continue to look out for the interests of all Canadians, and work hard every day to deliver high quality services to them and their families."

The Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada represents some 55,000 professionals across Canada's public sector, including over 4,000 members in Atlantic Canada.
