Proficio Appoints Mike McGrath as New Vice President of Global Sales

Successful Sales Leader Brings Strong Track Record of Revenue Growth in Technology Enterprises to Proficio's Next-Generation Cloud-Based Cybersecurity Services

CARLSBAD, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 20, 2016) - Proficio, an award-winning provider of cloud-based security services, today announced the appointment of Mike McGrath as Vice President of Global Sales. With nearly 20 years of technology sales and management experience, McGrath brings an impressive track record of success in sales growth and market expansion for companies where he's held leadership positions at companies such as Blue Coat Systems and CA Technologies.

McGrath joins Proficio from Blue Coat Systems, where he was the Vice President of Sales for the Americas and APJ for the Cloud Data Protection solution and played a key role in the acquisition from Perspecsys. Prior to Blue Coat, McGrath was the Director of Sales for CA Technologies managing the Nimsoft business line, where he scaled the business across North America to more than 125 sales people, expanded the partner and MSP ecosystem quotas, and consistently exceeded sales goals. McGrath has also held senior sales management positions with Tivoli/Micromuse and BMC Software, where he continually saw tremendous growth in market share and managed multimillion-dollar business.

McGrath will play a central role in Proficio's rapid growth by building out the company's global sales organization. McGrath's near term goals will include expansion of the US team, to include immediate hiring for regional sales executives, solution engineers, and inside sales.
