Program Announced for First OpenDaylight Forum India to Enable Collaboration in Software-Defined Networking

Forum Presents an Opportunity to Interact Directly With Those Who Are Creating the Industry's Leading Open Source SDN Platform

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Mar 16, 2015) - The OpenDaylight Project, a community-led and industry-supported open source platform to advance Software-Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), today announced the full program for the OpenDaylight Forum, its first in India to foster collaboration between the networking industry, users and open source communities on the OpenDaylight SDN platform. The event will take place in Bengaluru on April 22-23, 2015.

The OpenDaylight Forum provides an educational space for the people involved in open SDN and NFV to collaborate. Knowledge of these emerging technologies is crucial to building flexible networks to address the increasing data usage in the country. The two-day forum is filled with technical presentations and tutorials that will address everything from OpenDaylight fundamentals to building apps on the OpenDaylight controller to integration of OpenDaylight with other open source projects.

Over 20 sessions including:

  • OpenDaylight Open vSwitch Database Integration Project - Past, Present and Future, presented by Anil Vishnoi, Brocade.
  • OpenDaylight App Development Prototype, presented jointly by Natarajan Dhiraviam and Kalaiselvi K., Dell.
  • Service Function Chaining - Helium, Lithium and the Way Forward, presented by Shuva Kar, Ericsson.
  • SDN Application - An Approach to Prioritize Important Mice Flows, presented by Yogesh Pandey, TATA Consultancy Services.
  • Policy Framework for OpenDaylight Architecture, presented by Hema Gopalakrishnan, Ericsson.
