Progress Announces New DataDirect Database Drivers at Oracle OpenWorld

Enhanced Capabilities Available for JDBC™ and ODBC; Senior Engineering Manager Jesse Davis to Present Session at JavaOne

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - September 15, 2010) -  (Oracle OpenWorld Booth 3519) -- Progress Software Corporation (NASDAQ: PRGS), a leading software provider that enables enterprises to be operationally responsive,  announced today the release of two new database drivers: the Progress® DataDirect Connect® for ODBC release 6.1 and the Progress DataDirect Connect for JDBC(TM) release 4.2. These drivers will expand critical connectivity features to more databases and formats. Key features of these new drivers include expanded bulk load capabilities that will improve the ability to stream bulk data from one database to another, and increased breadth of support for additional application configurations.
