Prohotel International Introduces New Food and Beverage Manager at Newly Renovated Jarabacoa Restaurant

JARABACOA, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC--(Marketwire - Mar 27, 2013) - Prohotel International today announced that Hector Javier Ariza Ortiz will be heading the newly renovated Aroma de la Montaña restaurant in the Jamaca de Dios project in Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic. Perched high in the mountains of Jarabacoa, Aroma offers stunning views of the Cibao Valley. After an almost US$500,000 expansion converting the hamburger and beer spot into a full-service restaurant, Aroma de la Montaña is now the Caribbean's first restaurant with a second level 360 degree rotating floor.

Also as part of the expansion Jamaca de Dios hired Prohotel to turn Aroma into a recognized full-service upscale restaurant. Prohotel's first action was bringing on Ariza. Previously the Food and Beverage Manager at the celebrated Esencia Estate in Riviera Maya, Mexico, Ariza brings more than 20 years experience in Food & Beverage with Prohotel backing. While at Esencia, Ariza brought new products and services to the table including introducing "The Chef's Table," an intimate dinner where the chef prepares a special meal tableside for a shared experience with guests, perfect for private occasions and celebrations. Ariza also increased wine popularity with guests at Esencia offering private wine pairing dinners and limited small parties with local sommeliers.

While developing and managing a restaurant is not Prohotel's background, Jamaca de Dios' plan to eventually add a small luxury hotel to the development required a company with hotel and restaurant expertise. The development of the hotel will follow a successful positioning of Aroma, eventually offering the same service guests are use to receiving at a Small Luxury property.
