Proliance International Helps Customers With Accurate, Timely Product Information

Proliance Completes PIES Certification and Begins Electronic Exchanges With Trading Partners Using Comergent eBusiness Solutions

REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- September 12, 2005 -- Comergent Technologies®, Inc., the leading provider of service oriented eBusiness applications, is helping Proliance International, Inc. improve sales and work more smoothly with its trading partners. With Comergent's C3 Product Management, Proliance can now link its product information with resellers of its automotive products, giving them a complete view of Proliance's product offerings in a familiar format. As a result, trading partners are more likely to find products that meet their specifications in Proliance's catalog -- increasing sales, reducing calls to Proliance for simple product information, and minimizing the number of incorrect orders in the process.

Proliance is a leading manufacturer and distributor of aftermarket heat transfer and temperature control products for automotive and heavy-duty applications. By implementing the Comergent eBusiness System™, Proliance is increasing its compliance with PIES, the Product Information Exchange Standard established by the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), to which both Proliance and Comergent belong. PIES makes it easier for members of the automotive supply chain to exchange product data electronically.

"Providing our resellers with accurate, timely, and detailed information about our products is critical for us," said Kenneth T. Flynn, vice president and corporate controller for Proliance. "Our portfolio of radiators, heaters, and air conditioning components contains thousands of products and options. Buyers need to know the exact dimensions, weight, and other details about each product to know whether it will work for them. If they can find what they need more quickly from us, that gives us a competitive advantage."

Proliance implemented its system in early 2005 and is now gearing up to transmit its electronic product data with all trading partners.

"So far, we are right on track and excited about the new and improved exchange with our trading partners," said Flynn. "And Comergent did a lot to make it smooth and productive. Their experience at this really shows in this industry and with the PIES certification."

"Proliance is smart to get out ahead of its competition on this," said Jean Kovacs, president and CEO for Comergent. "The AAIA is creating an opportunity for automotive companies to compete in a new way. Companies that jump on the opportunity, like Proliance, stand to gain the most."

Proliance's success with its Comergent implementation is featured in the September 2005 issue of CFO magazine. (See "Dream Catalog" at http://www.cfo.com/article.cfm/4315510/c_4334841?f=magazine_featured) For more information about Proliance, visit http://www.pliii.com.
