Prometric Appointed for Development and Delivery of New Estidama Pearl Rating System Exam

BALTIMORE, MD and ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES--(Marketwire - October 20, 2010) -  Prometric today announced that it has been appointed by Estidama, the sustainability program managed by Abu Dhabi Urban Planning Council (UPC), the agency responsible for the future of Abu Dhabi's urban environment, to provide test development and delivery services specific to a groundbreaking new building initiative for the United Arab Emirates.

The UPC has recently overseen the development of a completely new portfolio of computer-based building sustainability exams for the Estidama Pearl Rating System (PRS). The tests launched on 19 October and successful test takers will be certified as Pearl Qualified Professionals (PQP).

David Grinham, vice president and general manager for Prometric, stated, "We are particularly excited to be able to contribute our expertise to this initiative. We are confident that our long track record in delivering and administering tests that accurately measure necessary skills, abilities and knowledge will help Estidama achieve its objectives for this new exam program."
