Promisec Selected by State of Texas Department of Information Resources for Clientless Endpoint Management Contract

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 10, 2010) - Promisec, a leader in Clientless Endpoint Management solutions, announced today an enterprise license agreement with the State of Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR). The agreement extends use rights of Promisec's next generation technology to more than 1 million endpoints in all State agencies, K-12 and State institutions of higher education.

Promisec's contract with DIR provides every State agency and associated educational institutions the ability to manage, protect and ensure compliance of endpoint policies across the enterprise; improving security and maximizing efficiency of human and network resources. The solution also provides cost savings by measuring, monitoring and enforcing Green IT policies. The Promisec solution will allow central policy coordination of all agencies by DIR, while giving autonomy and control to each agency using the system.

"IT departments are increasingly being asked to do more with less," said David Roudebush, EVP of Promisec. "Our solutions allow government and enterprise IT departments to show real bottom-line savings while at the same time boosting their level of security and compliance through IT Optimization."

Promisec joins Microsoft and Oracle as one of only three software companies to complete an Enterprise license with DIR. "We are pleased to be working with the State of Texas," said Amir Kotler, CEO of Promisec. "Award of this contract after more than a year of rigorous testing to provide a proof of concept is a testament of the unique and strategic value Promisec brings to our customers."
