The Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, Shelly Glover, today announced an investment of $65,000 for the 63rd Orford Festival. This funding, provided by the Government of Canada under the Canada Arts Presentation Fund, will help advance and increase appreciation of classical music in the Eastern Townships and kindle public interest in this art form.
"Our Government's support is helping musical and artistic talent from the Eastern Townships and throughout Canada develop and flourish while contributing to the success of the prestigious Orford Festival."
-Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages
"The Orford Arts Centre wishes to sincerely thank Canadian Heritage for its support, which will once again help us achieve our mission. This year, we have reserved a place of honour for a large number of exceptionally talented emerging artists.
