Pronexus Builds on World Leadership Position with Further Enhancements to Ease-of-Use of its Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Tool Kit

Customer-led new features make VBVoice 5.5 exceedingly compelling

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 05, 2007) - Pronexus Inc., a software company that provides solutions and development tools for voice-enabling business processes, today announced the release of VBVoice® 5.5, a Rapid Application Development (RAD) tool for telephony and speech solutions.

In this release, compelling new features have been added to VBVoice, increasing the user friendliness of the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) tool kit even further.

The new WorkerThread Control feature dramatically simplifies the integration of custom code into the IVR application by enabling the execution of selected lengthy code in a separate thread (worker thread), avoiding the primary thread to be blocked, and preventing possible delays.

In addition, an optional runtime management device has been introduced, empowering customers to move licenses without any outside involvement. This hardware key is particularly beneficial should emergency situations occur, requiring the move of licenses outside of our regular support hours.

Paul Gaston, IT Director for Liquid11 Limited ( commented: "We are very excited about the new Dongle feature. Over the last few years we have developed numerous applications using VBVoice, including our premier product Switchboardfree (, which would have been impossible without the support of Pronexus. Due to us being located in the United Kingdom we occasionally run into the situation where licenses need to be moved outside Pronexus' office hours." Mr. Gaston continued: "The VBVoice 5.5 Dongle now gives us piece of mind, enabling us to execute license moves ourselves. We have great confidence in using VBVoice due to the ongoing development of the product, a great deal of which is due to Pronexus listening carefully to their clients' needs."

For VBVoice 5.5, Pronexus also extends support for Dialogic's industry leading HMP 3.0 software, for increased performance, allowing the applications to scale to higher densities.

"In addition to the new features, we also changed the look of VBVoice in this release, making the Graphical User Interface (GUI) itself much more attractive and easier to work with", commented Valentin Doroga, Chief Architect for Pronexus. "We also included a number of fixes, based on feedback we received from clients. We have a very close relationship with our customer base and constantly encourage them to provide us with any feedback they might have, to be able to continuously improve our software and to ensure that VBVoice continues to deliver the very best solution for our customers' business and their computer telephony requirements."

VBVoice 5.5 builds on fifth generation technology to enable the creation of scalable, feature-rich IVR and speech solutions for TDM, converged and pure IP. More information on this release and a free evaluation download are available at
