Proofpoint Appoints Peter Galvin as Chief Marketing Officer

Senior Executive Peter Galvin Brings More Than 20 Years of Strategic and Product Marketing Experience to Leading Email Security Vendor

Galvin will lead Proofpoint's global corporate and product marketing initiatives, reporting directly to CEO Gary Steele.

Previously, he served as vice president of marketing at Celequest Corporation (acquired by Cognos) and the vice president and general manager at Inktomi Corporation (acquired by Yahoo!).

Galvin holds an MBA in marketing and Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Clark University.
