Propell Adds New Colleges, Endorses 'Bookstore of 2015' Model

'PropellShops' System Helps Schools Stay Ahead of Social, Tech and Retail Trends

SAN ANSELMO, CA--(Marketwire - April 4, 2011) - Propell Corporation (OTCBB: PROP), founder of the PropellShops® "instant ecommerce" system for schools, businesses, nonprofits and the military, today announced that it is adding several new college stores to its list of school partnerships, as it expands its strategy of helping college bookstores anticipate, and stay ahead of, fundamental changes in their industry.

College stores nationwide are facing a significant challenge with a new generation of customer accustomed to online shopping, social network-driven marketing -- and the prospect of digital delivery of their "bread and butter," textbooks. The National Association of College Stores (NACS) (www.nacs.org) has reached out to its member stores nationwide with an invitation to begin building the "Bookstore of 2015" today, which includes initiatives to innovate in ways that Propell believes it offers today.

PropellShops lets any college or university bookstore instantly add an online shop featuring a variety of personalized apparel and gifts without any investment in inventory. The products on display in a PropellShop are all made "on demand" -- meaning they are manufactured only when ordered, so there is no risk.

In the last 30 days, Propell has partnered with several additional college stores, including multiple shops expected to be launched with California State University at Chico, Foothill College, Chaffey College and Mt. San Antonio College. In addition, Propell already provides online shops for numerous K-12 schools and universities nationwide, including University of Rochester, Cal State San Marcos and Biola University, as well as has licensing relationships with the Licensing Resource Group and Affinity Marketing for additional schools, conferences, and sororities and fraternities.

"The bookstore of 2015 will survive and thrive because its managers understand how to involve their campus in the products they sell. It will thrive because they regularly try new products and listen to their customers. It will thrive because they understand and use online technology -- both to offer products and to market them," said Harry Edwards, who manages the bookstore at Biola University (www.biolabookstore.com) in La Mirada, Calif.

"PropellShops lets us do those things today," said Edwards, who also serves on the board of directors of the California Association of College Stores (CACS) (www.cacsonline.org). "And it lets us contribute to the campus, and earn revenues, in categories that may never have existed in the past, like personalized gear for every member of a residence hall."

Cal State San Marcos bookstore (www.csusmbookstore.com), for instance, has opened over 40 shops with Propell, including almost every major campus club, team, department or other organization. University of Rochester has a PropellShop for every sports team, reachable through a link at www.rochester.edu/athletics/.

"With PropellShops, the school or bookstore can offer products featuring groups that may never have had merchandise before, or concepts they would just like to test. It also lets them involve the people who matter most -- the campus community -- in actually creating new designs and new products, with zero risk," said Propell CEO Ed Bernstein.

"The NACS has said that success in 2015 will be measured by bookstores staying relevant, cooperating with their students and campus community, being ingenious about offering product, and being flexible," Bernstein said. "We believe the PropellShops solution helps accomplish these goals right now."

Propell is a strategic partner of the California Association of College Stores (www.cacsonline.org), with more than 125 member stores on campuses throughout California; an associate member of the National Association of College Stores (www.nacs.org), with more than 3,000 member stores nationwide; and a School Solutions Partner for the American Association of School Administrators (www.aasa.org), the professional organization for more than 13,000 K-12 educational leaders in the United States and throughout the world.
