Propell Enhances 'PropellShops' Service for K-12 Schools

Adds Over 200 Shops With eChalk, Introduces New System for Uniform Orders

SAN ANSELMO, CA--(Marketwire - March 21, 2011) - Propell Corporation (OTCBB: PROP), creator of the PropellShops® 'instant ecommerce' system for schools, businesses, nonprofits and the military, today announced it has added over 200 new shops with its K-12 partner, eChalk, and expanded its K-12 shops to include a new system for ordering quantity orders -- such as school or team uniforms -- with substantial savings and no upfront investment for schools.

eChalk, based in New York, NY, helps school leaders, students and parents safely use the web to connect to the people and information they need to make learning successful, and works with thousands of schools across the U.S.

The PropellShops proprietary ecommerce and on-demand service is available to eChalk's schools at no charge. With a PropellShop, any eChalk school can offer hundreds of products that are manufactured, printed and shipped only when ordered -- with no minimum quantities or setup charges, and no inventory. Propell then shares revenue with the school partner.

Now, with the addition of the PropellShops Event Savings Program (ESP), school partners can offer student or team uniforms at substantially reduced quantity pricing, while allowing each student or family to purchase individual items online. Schools qualify for quantity pricing simply by forecasting the minimum number they will need; no payment or deposit is required so long as the minimum number is met.

"We're delighted to see the strong growth of PropellShops within the eChalk community," said Jennifer Ozanne, Vice President of Client Services for eChalk. "Integrating PropellShops into eChalk's system gives our schools the ability to easily raise funds and promote school spirit with branded apparel, further enhancing the value that eChalk delivers to its schools. With the PropellShops Event Savings Program, we anticipate that schools will be able to both save money and staff time as the online system does all the work," she added.

"Instead of precious staff resources, and capital, being devoted to taking orders, handling funds, distributing and even exchanging items, Propell's online system and customer service team handles everything," Ozanne said.

"It's been a pleasure to work with eChalk, as well as our university partners, to help schools raise funds selling apparel and other products," said Propell CEO Ed Bernstein. "Along the way, we learned that many schools had a need for school and team uniforms, but the logistics were challenging. And quantity orders required schools to pay much or all costs upfront. We worked directly with the schools to come up with an entirely new solution that helps both logistics -- and cash flow."

In a related event, on March 15, 2011, Propell announced it had signed an agreement with Casa Enrique of Douglas, AZ, in which Propell is expected to take over sales and manufacturing of its school, and professional uniform business, led by Casa Enrique executive Josh Lopez.

"With the addition of Josh and the Casa Enrique business, combined with the new quantity order system, we believe Propell now has significantly greater expertise to support this new online model for delivering school uniforms and other quantity apparel," Bernstein said.

There are more than 140,000 public and private K-12 schools in North America. In addition to its partnership with eChalk, Propell is a School Solutions Partner for the American Association of School Administrators (, the professional organization for more than 13,000 educational leaders in the United States and throughout the world. Propell is also a strategic partner of the California Association of College Stores ( and an associate member of the National Association of College Stores (
