Proposed Cancellation of Admission to Trading on PLUS
                                      and Notice of General Meeting

The Directors of Seven Arts Pictures Plc, the feature films producer and distributor, announce that they
have resolved to seek shareholder approval to cancel the admission of the ordinary shares in the Company
to trading on PLUS (the "Cancellation").

A circular will be dispatched to shareholders today, which provides the background to and details of the
proposed Cancellation. The Directors have undertaken a review of the benefit of the Company continuing to
be traded on PLUS recognizing the following key factors:

        * The Company's recent listing on NASDAQ Capital Market
        * Greater liquidity on the US exchange

trade their shares in the UK through the NASDAQ Capital Market.

Shareholders are advised to contact their stockbroker or authorised person under FSMA (2000) in order to

Capital Market will be available on the Company's website,, with effect from
16th March 2009.

The Board of the Company has accordingly convened a Extraordinary General Meeting to be held at the
offices of Sprecher Grier Halberstam LLP, One America Square, Crosswall, London EC3N 2SG on 16th March
2009 at 11 am at which Shareholders will be asked to consider a Special Resolution to approve the
application by the Company to PLUS Markets for the Cancellation.
