ProSight Specialty Insurance Expands International Appetite in Entertainment, Marine Cargo and Professional Liability

ProSight Specialty Underwriters Ltd. Adds Three Key Underwriting Positions for Each New Area of Focus; Plans Office Move to London Underwriting Centre to Accommodate Growth Plans

LONDON--(Marketwire - Mar 5, 2012) - ProSight Specialty Insurance has added three key underwriting leaders to its ProSight Specialty Underwriters Ltd. unit in London, expanding ProSight's international capabilities written through Lloyd's to include the Entertainment, Marine Cargo, and Professional Liability lines of business. Each underwriter has extensive experience and expertise in their area, and position ProSight to achieve the global growth goals put into place with the acquisition of TSM Agencies Ltd. and 100% of the capacity right to Syndicate 1110 last November.

Julie Abbott joins ProSight as Film and Entertainment underwriter, where she will be responsible for complementing ProSight's well established expertise in film insurance from its Centre of Expertise based in Glendale, California, as well as developing an international book of business from a Lloyd's platform. Previously, Julie was the Contingency Practice Leader for Media and Entertainment at Travelers Insurance Co. Ltd. and held various positions at Royal Sun Alliance.

Linda Dias joins ProSight as Cargo Underwriter, where she will lead the development of a new standalone book of international Cargo and Specie business. She will also work in conjunction with the existing Engineering and Power underwriters to underwrite complementary risks such as Project Cargo. Linda has over 25 years of Marine Insurance experience on both the underwriting and brokerage side, previously working at Commercial Union, HSBC, Marsh and Willis in London, Antwerp and Hong Kong.

Ed Skoch, Professional Liability Executive for ProSight Specialty Insurance, is relocating from New York to London to lead the development of ProSight's international professional liability business. Ed will continue to have product line oversight for Professional Liability globally. Before ProSight, Ed was Chief Underwriting Officer for non-Marine lines at NY Magic, which was acquired by ProSight in November 2010.

Move to London Underwriting Centre

In addition to the expansion of underwriting capabilities, ProSight Specialty Underwriters Ltd. plans to move to new offices in the London Underwriting Centre at 1 Minster Court in mid-March to accommodate the anticipated growth of ProSight's international business.

"The addition of these three talented underwriters will greatly expand the scope of our business opportunity beyond the traditional core Engineering and Power focus of Syndicate 1110," said Julian Enoizi, Managing Director of ProSight Specialty Underwriters Ltd. "With these additions, and our move to the London Underwriting Centre, we are starting to put the pieces in place to grow ProSight's international business."
