Prospect Capital Declares the 31st, 32nd and 33rd Consecutive Cash Distributions of the Company


NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - February 9, 2011) - Prospect Capital Corporation (NASDAQ: PSEC) ("Prospect" or "Company") announced today that Prospect has declared monthly cash distributions in the following amounts and with the following record and payment dates:

10.1150 cents per share for February 2011 (record date of February 28, 2011 and payment date of March 31, 2011);

10.1175 cents per share for March 2011 (record date of March 31, 2011 and payment date of April 29, 2011); and

10.1200 cents per share for April 2011 (record date of April 29, 2011 and payment date of May 31, 2011).

These distributions mark the Company's 31st, 32nd and 33rd consecutive cash distributions.

The Company expects to declare its May, June, July, and August distributions in May 2011.
