Prospero Technologies Launches ProfileSN: Private-Branded Social Networking Application for Major Brands and Affinity Groups

LITTLETON, MA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 19, 2007 -- Prospero Technologies, the leading provider of private-branded social media applications, today announced ProfileSN, a suite of social networking applications that enable major brands, affinity groups, and institutions to integrate advanced social networking functionality into their websites. The components of ProfileSN include: guest books, photo albums, journals, friends, bookmarks, favorites, private messaging, live chat, and searchable interests.

By integrating these new social media tools with Prospero's broad suite of hosted social media applications called CommunityCM, major brands and affinity groups can deploy highly customized social media applications to better engage their audience and drive more traffic to their sites. Prospero's CommunityCM platform includes Message Boards, Blogs, Live Chat, and Ratings and Reviews and is used by many leading web sites including Fox, CBS, MLB, NASCAR, BabyCenter, About.com, and AARP. ProfileSN and CommunityCM centralize control of user generated content and cross-application moderation tools, word filtering and access control while seamlessly integrating with existing branding, navigation, and registration.

ProfileSN is now being used on Talk City, a popular consumer chat site with over 350,000 profiles hosted on Prospero's platform.

With ProfileSN, organizations can create a social network focused on their target audience. The ProfileSN social networking platform provides flexible profile searching and a wide range of social media applications. Users can access advanced configuration and layout options through the "My Profile" control center, which also includes private messages, requests to establish links with friends, moderation tools for guest book entries, personal profile information, embedding of internal and external widgets, and a drag-and-drop layout manager for each component of their profile. Access to each component of ProfileSN is controlled by user-specified or client-specified privacy settings.

"The success of sites such as MySpace and Facebook prove that Social Networking is gaining acceptance across a general audience," said Rusty Williams, vice president of Prospero. "We've designed ProfileSN to accommodate more targeted networking where brands can leverage their existing affinity groups such as fans of television shows and sports teams, new mothers, car enthusiasts, or members of an industry trade group. Highly targeted social networking provides a valuable source of customer insight and is an effective way to increase traffic, repeat visits, and brand loyalty."
