Protegrity Adds Patrick Burns, Seasoned Silicon Valley Executive, to Lead Business Development and Corporate Strategy


STAMFORD, CT--(Marketwire - Mar 5, 2012) - Protegrity USA, Inc. a leading provider of end-to-end data security solutions, today announces it has hired Patrick Burns to serve as its Vice President, Business Development and Corporate Strategy. In his new role, Burns will focus on building and maintaining strategic alliances and managing the company's licensing efforts.

Burns brings more than two decades of operating experience and joins Protegrity from Savi Technology, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, where he served as vice president, marketing and licensing in addition to roles in alliances and business development. Previously, he held executive and founding roles at TuneUp.com (acquired by Symantec), Demandline.com, and SkyTel (acquired by MCI). He also sits on the boards of the DASH7 Alliance, Blackbird Technology, and JKA Norcal, a non-profit martial arts school. He holds multiple issued and pending patents in e-commerce and wireless communications.

Burns received his MBA degree from the Kellogg School of Management and a BA degree in international studies with honors from American University.
