PROVIDENCE, RI--(Marketwire - Nov 4, 2011) - Bringing back the "good ole days" when the legendary Cahoots Lounge was the place, the Providence Marriott Downtown is opening up an opportunity for some reminiscent fun by hosting a Cahoots Reunion, Nov. 11-13, 2011.
For those who remember the lounge, this downtown Providence hotel's exciting event will be tops on their "must do" list after they spread the word to all their friends who shared in the fun "back in the day." Current followers of the popular Area Code band will find a whole new crowd with which to party as the Cahoots Reunion storms the corridors of this Providence, RI hotel's downtown venue for an exciting three-day gathering.
Well-known throughout Rhode Island, the Providence hotel's Cahoots Lounge was a popular nightclub during the late 1970s and throughout the 1980s, and Area Code was one of the favored bands to perform there. This legendary reunion will bring back the spirit of the day with Area Code headlining each night of entertainment. Guests appearing between sets will be DJ Donnie B, a well known DJ at Cahoots spinning on Friday and Sunday nights; and DJ Spin of WBRU who will entertain on Saturday night. Cahoots closed its doors in the mid-1990s.
In celebration of the reunion, the Marriott is asking patrons to post memories of the "good ole days" at Cahoots on the hotel's Facebook page. The best story will win a Cruise for two. Stories must be family friendly and posted by noon Friday, Nov. 11 to be considered for the prize.
Promising three nights of fun and lively entertainment, doors for the event will open at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and last call will be at 1:30 a.m. On Sunday doors open at 7 p.m. with last call at 12:30. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
