PRSA-NY Announces Finalists for 2016 Big Apple Awards #BigApplePR

Fifty-Four Unique Campaigns/Entries to Be Honored During 28th Annual #PR Industry Award Program Celebrating Excellence in Communications

NEW YORK, NY --(Marketwired - April 15, 2016) - The Public Relations Society of America-New York Chapter (PRSA-NY) announced today the list of finalists to be honored during the 2016 Big Apple Awards, a prestigious annual program honoring outstanding public relations campaigns and projects developed or implemented in and around New York City.

Big Apple award entries were evaluated by teams of senior-level PR practitioners representing a broad range of disciplines and expertise. The 2016 panel included nearly 90 individuals who reviewed and scored the entries using an online judging portal and then met in person for roundtable discussions to ultimately determine the finalists.

The 54 unique campaigns or entries selected for recognition will be honored during an awards presentation gala on Thursday evening, June 2nd, at the Mandarin Oriental New York. The finalists comprise entries from 34 agencies and in-house communications teams.

"The New York metro area generates more creative and sophisticated communications, PR, marketing, social media and other campaigns than any other region in the U.S. or around the globe," said Bill Doescher, PRSA-NY President and President and CEO of Doescher Group. "The Big Apple awards pay tribute to that outstanding work and the individuals who produce it."
