PRSA-NY Releases #15toFollow Video Encouraging Nominations of the Best Young PR Talent for the Inaugural "15 Under 35" Awards

Video Introduces New #PR Award Recognizing Achievement and Leadership Among #PRPros

NEW YORK, NY --(Marketwired - April 15, 2016) - The Public Relations Society of America-New York Chapter (PRSA-NY), in partnership with D S Simon Media, debuted today an INFORMATIONAL VIDEO introducing -- and encouraging nominations for -- the chapter's new 15 Under 35 Awards#15toFollow

In the video, Olga Gonzalez, PRSA-NY president-elect and chair of the 2016 Big Apple Awards, explains how the chapter's newest individual awards shine a spotlight on emerging communications industry leaders. 

"We are seeking the top young professionals who are paving creative roads within their teams and the communications industry," says Gonzalez. "But this is more than showcasing their achievements to date -- we also want to tap their energy and actively engage them in shaping the future of our profession!"

This year's 15 Under 35 winners will be the first members of a newly-formed PRSA-NY Young Professionals Advisory Committee, part of the PRSA-NY Board of Directors, through year-end 2017. The winners will be acknowledged during the 2016 Big Apple Awards gala at the Mandarin Oriental New York on June 2nd and honored at an awards luncheon later this summer.

15 Under 35 nominees should demonstrate excellence in communications and creative thinking, have exceptional interpersonal skills, and be recognized for their ability to build strong relationships in-agency, with clients and throughout the industry. A minimum of five years' experience working in public relations in the New York metro area is required. All nominations, including self-nominations, are due online (www.prsany.org/15under35) before 11:59 pm on Friday, April 29th.
