PRT Announces Director Resignation

VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - July 6, 2007) - PRT Forest Regeneration Income Fund (TSX:PRT.UN) today announced that Mr. Chris Worthy, CA has tendered his resignation as a director of PRT, the Fund's operating subsidiary.

Mr. Worthy has been actively involved in shaping PRT's growth and development since its inception, including the initial purchase of government nurseries following their privatization in 1988. PRT Chairman Colin Dobell commented, "Mr. Worthy's knowledge of the seedling business and his background with the nurseries and the people prior to the Fund's IPO in 1997 allowed him to make an important contribution on the board and his guidance will be greatly missed."

Mr. Gerry Bellerive, CA, a principal in the investment banking firm Capital West Partners, has been elected to the PRT Board.
