SINGAPORE--(Marketwired - Jul 21, 2016) - PSB Academy and UON Singapore (UONS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Newcastle, Australia commemorates 10 years of partnership with the announcement of a $100,000 top-up to the PSB Academy-UONS scholarship fund.
The top up -- fully funded by PSB Academy -- will be open to deserving students of the University of Newcastle, Australia's bachelor and master degree programmes from August this year. These programmes range from business to engineering courses that are offered at the Academy's Singapore campus.
With 10 years' experience in helping graduates reach their career goals and aspirations, UONS and PSB Academy remain committed to providing access to quality higher education to deserving students, regardless of their financial background.
In 2015, about 18 students benefited from the joint-scholarship scheme, which range from full to partial scholarships. The top-up of S$100,000 will see up to 50 more students qualify for this scholarship programme.

Over the years, University of Newcastle, Australia courses offered at PSB Academy have been designed with the current needs of industry in mind. In 2002, for example, the university established its Bachelor of Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety, a flagship program developed in response to a demand for professionals in Singapore. The Industry Advisory Committee, which comprises practising professionals from industry and government, meet regularly with academic staff to review the university's degrees and discuss improvements, ensuring that the academic experience remains relevant to the needs of the changing modern workforce.
