Public Consultation on the Forillon National Park of Canada Management Plan

GASPE, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 14, 2006) - Parks Canada invites the general public to a consultation concerning the revision of the management plan for the Forillon National Park of Canada. This consultation aims to inform the public about the challenges facing the park, to encourage the exchange of ideas and options, and to hear the public's comments.

The preliminary management plan submitted for the public consultation presents the achievements of the past few years and highlights the major issues and challenges facing the park. It outlines the park's objectives and proposed actions to meet these challenges in the years ahead.

Two information sessions will be held in Gaspe, in the amphitheatre of the Pavillon Cantin, located at 205 York Boulevard West:

Wednesday, November 29, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.

Thursday, November 30, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
