GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 6, 2015) - Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise motorists of a periodic vehicle lane reduction on the Chaudiere Crossing on Wednesday, October 7, 2015, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
This reduction will affect the Gatineau-bound vehicle lane. Traffic will be permitted in both directions. One northbound and one southbound vehicle lane will remain open at all times.
Access to the east pedestrian sidewalk may be temporarily interrupted. To ensure the safety of pedestrians and cyclists, a flag person will be at each end of the sidewalk to allow circulation in both directions.
This vehicle lane reduction is necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge.
The schedule may change due to weather conditions.
