Public Service Announcement: Canadian Armed Forces Conduct Training in Bristol Township, ON

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Sept. 9, 2015) - Approximately 50 members of The Algonquin Regiment and supporting members of 2 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group will be performing infantry training in the District of Cochrane, City of Timmins from 12-13 September 2015.

The training will take place on the Tatachikapika River, Crown Land and Lake Shore Gold Land located East of Highway 144 and South of Highway 101. Members of the community are asked to use caution when travelling east of Highway 144 and south of Highway 101 including the Tatachikapika River between 4:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday September 12, 2015.

Soldiers will be carrying simulated weapons, and vehicles will be used to transport soldiers along local roads and highways. Soldiers will also be navigating the Tatachikapika River. We ask the public to avoid interacting with military personnel at this time.
