OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Jan. 16, 2014) - Approximately 200 Army reservists from 33 Canadian Brigade Group (33 CBG) will be training in the area of Brockville, Ontario from January 17 to 19, 2014. Noise from blank ammunition may be heard throughout the weekend and specifically early Sunday morning.
Soldiers and military vehicles may be seen on local roads conducting various simulated scenarios. Training will focus around the Brockville Armouries, the Brockville Municipal Airport, and across the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville's Limerick Forest properties. Military vehicles will also be moving in the North Augusta and Cranberry Lake areas and along Country Road 15 between Wolford Centre Road and Gardiner Road.
33 CBG is using this training to hone individual and group patrolling skills in a variety of scenarios. 33 CBG is an Army formation consisting of reserve regiments from across Eastern Ontario.
