Public Service Announcement: Soldiers Conducting a Road Move Returning from Exercise Trillium Response 2013

CFB PETAWAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 22, 2013) - The public is advised that a convoy will be travelling between Cochrane, North Bay and Petawawa, on February 23^rd, 2013, returning from Exercise TRILLIUM RESPONSE 2013.

The convoy will travel along Highway 11 (South) to North Bay and then take Highway 17 (East) to Petawawa.

Traffic is advised to be extremely patient and cautious as the convoy will consist of 150 vehicles comprising of Light Armoured Vehicles, Heavy Logistics Vehicle Wheeled, chartered buses, and transport trucks.

Exercise TRILLIUM RESPONSE 2013 was the name for Joint Task Force Central's annual field training exercise aimed at developing and maintaining the capability and expertise to conduct various operations in remote areas and austere conditions. This year's exercise focused on a Defence of Canada scenario in a remote area of Northern Ontario, and took place from February 11 to 21, 2013, although personnel were in location from February 8 up to the 26, 2013.
