Puget Sound Business Journal Recognizes Planetary Power CEO Joe Landon as One of the Region's Top Young Entrepreneurs With a 40 Under 40 Award

REDMOND, WA--(Marketwired - July 20, 2016) - Planetary Power, developer of the HyGen hybrid generator, announced today that the company's President and CEO, Joe Landon, has been selected as a recipient of the Puget Sound Business Journal's 2016 40 Under 40 Award. This award honors people under age 40 who are dynamic leaders in the business community, and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and exemplary civic involvement. Landon was selected out of more than 400 nominees.

To be selected, honorees for the Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40 award were nominated then asked to complete a rigorous application process. To qualify, nominees had to be 39 years of age or younger, top leaders in their organization, industry and in the community, and had to clearly demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit. A panel of judges reviewed the applications and selected this year's 40 honorees. The 2016 40 Under 40 Award winners join a distinguished list of 680 alumni.

As the President and CEO of Planetary Power, Joe Landon is responsible for building and growing the company and launching its disruptive product, HyGen, to the marketplace. Prior to taking the helm at Planetary Power, Joe was integral in the launch and growth of two well-known startups: Space Angels Network and Planetary Resources.
