DORCHESTER, UNITED KINGDOM--(CCNMatthews - Aug. 7, 2006) - A new insurance policy, tailored specifically for individuals who have been diagnosed as HIV positive and who are receiving treatment, has been launched by specialist insurance agency, Pulse Insurance Limited.

The 10 year term life and accidental death insurance policy is designed to protect an individual's dependants against financial problems in the event of the policyholder's death during the policy period.

The policy provides for the payment of either a guaranteed lump sum of GBP 10,000 should the policyholder die as the result of an illness, or a guaranteed enhanced lump sum - up to a maximum of GBP 200,000 - in the event of death arising from bodily injury.

The HIV/AIDS policy is the latest of many term life assurance policies arranged by the company. Pulse specialises in obtaining insurance cover for so-called non-standard risks. Many insurers decline insurance for life cover where the applicant has a pre-existing medical condition or refuse insurance where other unique conditions may be involved.

Policies arranged by Pulse Insurance, however, embrace a wide spectrum of the unusual and the non-standard: from aerobatic pilots, parachutists and motor sport enthusiasts to bespoke policies embracing family and mortgage protection and tax planning. The company also arranges travel insurance, confidential life assurance, personal accident/ income protection and cover for employees working in politically unstable areas. It can also obtain term life assurance for individuals with pre-existing medical conditions including cancer, diabetes and heart conditions.

More information about the range of Pulse Insurance policies is contained in the company's brochure, which is attached as a PDF file.
