Puma Exploration: Hache Lens 50 Metres Longer, With 339 g/t Ag, 2.2% Zn, 3.8% Pb, and 0.7 g/t Au

RIMOUSKI, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - May 14, 2008) - Puma Exploration (TSX VENTURE:PUM) has just received the results from 11 holes drilled on the Hache lens at Nicholas-Denys, in New Brunswick. Since the beginning of 2008 four (4) drills have been in operation in the area containing the Hache and Shaft lenses, with the goal of confirming an inferred resource of 3,000,000 tonnes at this location.

Of the 11 holes drilled, ten (10) have traced the mineralization in the Hache lens down to a vertical depth of 350 metres, with grades of 23 g/t Ag, 1.1% Zn, and 1.9% Pb. All the holes cut the mineralization over significant thicknesses, as shown by the intersection of 12 metres of 72 g/t Ag, 1.3% Zn, and 1.2% Pb at a depth of 100 metres.

The drilling has traced the Hache lens mineralization over an additional length of 50 metres, which represents a 50% increase in the length initially defined and used in the resource calculation. The holes also intersected mineralization between the previous holes, which should enable a portion of the inferred resources to be reclassified as indicated resources; the intersections include 339 g/t Ag, 2.2% Zn, 3.8% Pb, and 0.7 g/t Au over 3.2 metres.

Current Program

Since the beginning of 2008, 71 holes have been drilled in the vicinity of the Hache and Shaft lenses, for a total advance of 17,500 metres. Two drills were assigned to the definition of additional resources in direct extensions of the Hache lens over an additional length of 200 metres, which represents about three times the current area. Two other drills are engaged in exploring the ground between the Shaft and Hache lenses down to a vertical depth of 450 metres. This drilling will determine whether this is a single mineralized zone with an overall length of about 650 metres.

About Puma

Puma Exploration is concentrating its New Brunswick exploration activities on the Nicholas-Denys mineral property, located near Bathurst. The Company expects to be able to outline enough ore to begin mine development, with a target resource of three (3) to five (5) million tonnes.

In fact, a new resource calculation for the Hache and Shaft lenses will be performed as soon as the analyses of the approximately 7,500 samples taken from the 71 holes become available. Out of its initial 3.5 -million dollar exploration budget, 2.5 million have been used for the drilling campaign.

The samples were analyzed in the ALS Chemex laboratory at Val d'Or, using the atomic absorption and ICP methods.
