Puppet Labs to Open New Portland Headquarters

New Office Space Enables Company to Continue Its Growth in Portland

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Mar 5, 2014) - Puppet Labs, the leading provider of IT automation software, announced today that it has executed a lease for approximately 75,000 square feet at Block 300, consisting of the entire 5th and 6th floors. The leased space has some of the largest open floor plans in the Portland Central Business District, making it an ideal choice for a creative company like Puppet Labs. It's twice as large as the company's current space, and will enable Puppet Labs to continue expanding in Portland. Block 300 will also let Puppet Labs continue its tradition of sharing its office space for Portland community events. Puppet Labs will move into Block 300 in November 2014.

"This move is a testament to both the accelerating demand for Puppet Labs' IT automation software and our commitment to growing our company in Portland," said Luke Kanies, founder and CEO of Puppet Labs. "Our office space is a critical part of who we are as a company and helps make Puppet Labs a great place to work. The building's downtown location gives us access to Portland's excellent public transit, bike routes, restaurants and waterfront. This new space will also enable us to meet our aggressive growth targets and expand our team so we can continue helping customers get to market faster."

Block 300, located at 308 SW Second Avenue, is an approximately 360,000 square foot office building owned by a joint venture between Chicago-based Kaufman Jacobs, Starwood Capital Group and JPMorgan, and is part of the Rubicon US REIT. The building property is nearing completion on a multimillion-dollar capital improvement program, including a fully renovated lobby, fitness center, and other common area improvements, along with the addition of secure bicycle parking and a building conference center. The renovations utilize Class A materials and finishes and will feature unique elements such as a living green wall and an interactive Philips Lumiblade OLED light installation, the first of its kind in North America. Building upgrades also focus on environmental awareness and energy efficiency, with the award of LEED Gold anticipated for the property in May of 2014.

Puppet Labs was represented by Craig Reinhart, managing principal of Cresa Portland. Building ownership was represented by Jake Lancaster, senior vice president, Mark Friel, senior vice president and Buzz Ellis, managing director of Jones Lang LaSalle.
