Pure Energy Introduces Rechargeable Alkaline Cordless Phone Batteries at the Consumer Electronics Show

TORONTO--(Marketwire - December 29, 2008) - Pure Energy Visions Corporation (TSX-V: PEV) (FRANKFURT: XYQ) ("Pure Energy" or the "Corporation"), the leading Canadian provider of environmentally responsible rechargeable battery products, announced today that it is introducing a new line of Rechargeable Alkaline Cordless (RAC) phone replacement batteries at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) held January 8-11 in Las Vegas, NV.

With a number of performance and environmental benefits over competing products, RAC phone batteries represent the first major advancement in the multi-million dollar cordless phone battery technology in several years. RAC batteries can be recharged 1000s of times and have longer "reserve" talk and "standby" time than NiCd and NiMH batteries. Unlike NiCd and NiMH, they are also ready-to-use out of the package. The table below shows the performance of NiCd, NiMH and RAC batteries for a standard cordless phone model.

Battery Type Maximum Talk Maximum
                     Time Per Charge Standby Time

RAC 2000mAh 40 hrs. 17 days
NiMH 1200mAh 24 hrs. 10 days
NiCd 600mAh 12 hrs. 5 days

"With our new NiMH cordless phone batteries now being successfully sold across Canada, we are confident that the superior performance of our RAC batteries will enable Pure Energy to expand its cordless phone battery business into a number of international markets," said Paul W. Simmonds, Pure Energy's president and CEO. "With the banning of NiCd batteries throughout the European Union this past September and with similar legislation being considered in a number of other countries, we see a very significant opportunity for our high performance, environmentally responsible RAC technology."

CES is the world's largest technology trade show. Held annually at the Las Vegas Convention Center, this year's show will feature 2,700 international exhibitors. At the show, Pure Energy will be exhibiting with Powercast Corporation at booth: Sands 73034.
