PureSpectrum, Inc. in Discussions With Multiple Lighting Manufacturers

Companies Are Interested in Energy Efficient Linear Fluorescents and Dimmable CFL Technology

SAVANNAH, GA--(Marketwire - January 31, 2008) - Recent technology advances developed by engineers from PureSpectrum, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: PSPM) have created a global buzz among manufacturers in the lighting industry.

PureSpectrum, a small technology company headquartered in Savannah, Ga., announced earlier this week that the company's engineering team has developed and successfully tested a fully dimmable Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) bulb and the first dimming device specifically wired to operate a truly dimmable CFL bulb. These innovations follow the company's fourth quarter announcement of an enhanced linear fluorescent product that is rated more than 30 percent more energy efficient than brand name lamps on the market.

As the company continues its search to identify both licensing partnerships and contract manufacturers, PureSpectrum president and CEO Lee Vanatta said that discussions are ongoing between PureSpectrum and lighting manufacturers in several countries. In some cases, talks have gone far enough to include component costing being performed by production facilities.

Because of non-disclosure agreements signed by both parties in all negotiations, Vanatta said he is prohibited from naming the manufacturers that have demonstrated interest in the dimmable CFL technologies and the linear fluorescent product.

"We have been expecting these inquiries from lighting manufacturers, and we are very encouraged by the feedback we are receiving," Vanatta said. "Through our internal testing process, we knew for months that our technologies are important advances for the lighting industry. But our business model dictated that we follow through with thorough independent testing on all of our technologies at NVLAP certified labs to confirm our internal testing and provide manufacturers with a complete set of data."

PureSpectrum currently owns the rights to a family of patents and patent applications related to multiple technologies and products related circuitry designs which improve the performance of ballast driven lighting applications. The company is currently in the process of filing additional patent applications on new and forthcoming technology developments.
