Pursuits Automatic Weapons, Inc. Launches New, Less-Lethal Weapon "Sidewinder" for Law Enforcement, During Tactical Response Expo (TREXPO WEST 2005) in Long Beach, California

LAGUNA HILLS, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 7, 2005 -- Pursuits Automatic Weapons ("Pursuits") announced the release of its new, less-lethal automatic weapon, The Sidewinder, at the recent TREXPO West 2005 Conference, held in the Long Beach, CA Convention Center on March 23-25. The exposition is one of the leading law enforcement venues for equipment technology and emergency preparedness in the U.S. The Expo featured seminars and tests of the latest equipment. Attendees included street patrol officers, S.W.A.T. teams, training officers, corrections officers, border control personnel, sergeants, chiefs, sheriffs and commanding officers.

The Pursuits Sidewinder is a pneumatic powered (high pressure air), fully automatic weapon that fires 6 millimeter plastic BBs at an incredible rate of 150 rounds per second with a muzzle velocity of 600 feet/second. Designed for police and military use in tactical situations, the Sidewinder fires an overwhelming, but less lethal, barrage of plastic BBs to encourage compliance by offenders. The weapon provides the police with a less-lethal alternative when confronting civil disturbances, domestic disputes, standoff situations, and the extraction of suspects from cars, jail cells, etc. The Company's new product meets The Joint Non-Lethal Weapons Directorate's ten most desirable characteristics and is currently the only weapon in the marketplace that fulfills all ten.

Pursuits' President & CEO Tim Reeves noted, "The Sidewinder is not competing with other less-lethal weapons such as the TASER International, Inc.'s ('TASR') shocking device, but complementary in those situations where a longer stand-off range (75 feet) would be more desirable. Reeves also noted, "Our robust delivery of up to 150 rounds per second is tantamount to a swarm of wasps attacking. Even when a suspect may be high on drugs or alcohol, the painful barrage of rounds initiates the reflexive autonomic responses of the brain and body to avoid this continued input at all costs. Unlike some other less-lethal weapons still under development; this is not an R&D product for the future, it is in production now, and we look forward to providing production units to various law enforcement agencies for their evaluations."

Police, S.W.A.T. team members, Correction Officers and Border Control Officers took advantage of firing the Sidewinder during Friday's Range Day event held at the Long Beach Police Academy Firing Range. There, many gained first-hand experience of the Sidewinder's impressive capabilities. The Sidewinder, while less lethal than the Navy's Phallanx Weapons System and the A-10 Warthog's 20 MM Gatling gun, has a greater cyclic rate and utilizes only 3 moving parts. Further advantages of the Pursuits weapons include no routine maintenance, cleaning, or lubrication. The 5-year warranty was particularly appealing to those in attendance.
