NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Nov 12, 2015) - Vice President Joe Biden visited Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA during a three-college tour to mobilize students to take action to prevent sexual assault on campuses. The tour will mark the third Week of Action in support of the It's On Us campaign, launched last year by the White House and Generation Progress to engage campus communities in preventing sexual assaults.
In attendance was Daniel Wilkins, Executive Director of PVBLIC Foundation, who has been a partner to the White House and Generation Progress since the inception of the campaign three years ago. "I am honored to be able to see Vice President Biden address the students of Morehouse College about the It's On Us campaign and the campaign's effort to raise awareness about sexual assault on college campuses around the country. His and Generation Progress' efforts have made a significant impact on the issue and I have no doubt will continue to for a long time."
The tour marked the beginning of the It's On Us Fall Week of Action in which young people are mobilizing to fight campus sexual assault through over 300 events at more than 140 schools across the country.
New federal regulations have been implemented mandating stricter reporting of sex crimes on campus as the White House has urged colleges to crack down on sexual assault. Schools have responded, investing large amounts of time and money toward better prevention, training and enforcement efforts. Without them, they face the loss of billions of dollars in federal aid.

About It's On Us:
"It's On Us" aims to fundamentally shift the way we think about sexual assault, by inspiring everyone to see it as their responsibility to do something, big or small, to prevent it. The campaign reflects the belief that sexual assault isn't just an issue involving a crime committed by a perpetrator against a victim, but one in which the rest of us also have a role to play. This effort will support student-led efforts already underway across the country, and will focus particularly on motivating college men to get involved.
