Q-Centrix Continues Certification Expansion of Its Q-Registries Platform With NCDR ACTION(R) Registry

Just 17 Days After Receiving Certification for CathPCI, the Industry's First and Only Healthcare Quality Information System Is Now Certified to Capture, Analyze, Report and Submit Another NCDR Registry

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - May 18, 2016) - Q-Centrix announced today that it received certification as an NCDR software vendor for the ACTION® registry. Continuing their commitment to innovate in healthcare quality, the organization developed and certified this new registry workflow within its universal registry application in only 17 days. The technology is the first of its kind, managing the entire registry-encounter lifecycle -- from patient admissions to data capture, to submission, to performance improvement -- in an easy, efficient and real-time manner.

"By completing this certification less than three weeks after completing CathPCI, we've validated the benefit of our patent-pending universal registry technology and our ability to meet the needs of the rapidly evolving healthcare quality environment," explained Q-Centrix CEO, Milton Silva-Craig. "We've created a platform capable of quickly deploying and certifying new registries thereby offering our partners something seemingly impossible -- a complete view of all of their registry data."

The registry capture and submission application, Q-Registries, was recently certified for NCDR CathPCI. The technology leverages the Q-Centrix Healthcare Quality Information System (HQIS), Q-Apps™, and its data integration engine called Q-Insights™, to offer physicians and hospitals real-time performance data on cardiovascular care processes so they can make immediate changes and impact patient care without delay.

Q-Apps was incubated as a quality workforce management solution to manage quality abstraction services, but rapidly evolved into the industry's first HQIS. "Q-Apps is an agile and adaptable technology that was purposefully built to help innovate our industry," continued Silva-Craig. "From real-time concurrent surveillance, to clinical measure calculations, analytics, submission and reporting, the latest Q-Apps enhancements allow complete quality data insight."

Q-Apps supports full data integration, through its data integration engine, Q-Insights, for HL-7 and C-CDA formats (e.g., QRDA and CCD) and recently received ONC certification for all 93 electronic clinical measures (eligible hospital and physician). In the coming months, Q-Apps will continue to receive certification for the electronic capture and submission of additional registries.

"An intense focus on evidence-based health care is driving a significant growth in the number of hospitals participating in registries as well as the number of registries created," added Brian Foy, vice president, product development at Q-Centrix. "That is why the agile technology of our Q-Registries platform is tremendously important."

There is an ongoing transformational shift to value-based care in the industry. With this shift, quality and clinical performance measures are being utilized for many purposes including reimbursement, penalties, accountability, outcomes, reputation and cost reduction.

"Our mission is to help healthcare providers measurably improve the safety and quality of care they deliver while reducing costs through the comprehensive management of quality data," added Silva-Craig. "Today's announcement is yet another validation of that commitment."
