Q-Sensei Enterprise v2.0 Unveiled to Rapidly Develop Tailored Search Applications for Big Data

Ontology-Based Data Processing and Flexible API Supports Quick Deployment, Integration and Use of All Relevant Data for Informed Decision-Making

BROOKLYN, NY and ERFURT, GERMANY--(Marketwire - Apr 24, 2012) - Q-Sensei Corp., the multi-dimensional search and indexing technology company, unveiled today the latest version of its enterprise search platform -- Q-Sensei Enterprise v2.0 -- designed to rapidly and flexibly develop tailored search-based applications (SBAs) tapping the wealth of data from enterprise Intranets, social media, third parties and the Internet.

The new platform features ontology-based data processing and configuration, and a new API to increase time-to-market, flexibility, scalability and efficiency in handling Big Data.

  • Ontology-based data processing. With Q-Sensei Enterprise's new ontology-based data processing, businesses can rapidly develop new, tailored search-based applications by using existing RDF and OWL resources such as database models, industry or domain-specific ontologies, process definitions and project configurations. This new processing approach also enables harmonization of semantics, components and functionality across business applications. It also improves the speed and efficiency of data process and indexing, increasing platform performance.

  • Interactive configuration. Q-Sensei Enterprise provides semi-automatic, guided configuration to more efficiently and more flexibly integrate new data sources such as new social media sources, new data-intensive applications, etc.

  • RESTful JSON API. The new API makes it easy to quickly integrate Q-Sensei's powerful multi-dimensional search technology into new or existing applications.

Q-Sensei's multi-dimensional search engine presents query results and data correlations with a dynamic faceted index that enables business end-users to find and discover the most relevant information with speed and accuracy.

"We recently tested Q-Sensei Enterprise v2.0 to develop a multimedia-focused search-powered application for a major news organization," said Christopher Lacinak, Founder and President of AudioVisual Preservation Solutions, a New York-based consulting firm. "We appreciated the efficiency with which Q-Sensei wrangled several large disparate data sets, greatly enabling findability, usability and key insights. It was refreshingly quick and simple to tailor the content and interface to our client's needs."

"Our vision and goals for the enterprise are to provide personalized and flexible access to mission-critical information and guide users to uncover valuable correlations between data for strategic advantage," said Ute Rother, CEO of Q-Sensei. "We are excited that our ontology-based data processing can speed up and more-easily scale the development of a variety of purpose-built search applications to unlock the benefits and value of Big Data."
