- Mxi Maintenix software providing re-engineered business processes and system functionality to support Qantas A380 aircraft.

- Provides field loadable software configuration management.

- CASA approval for full paperless, electronic certification.

Mxi Technologies announced today that Maintenix® software has successfully gone live supporting the first three A380 aircraft within the Qantas fleet to take flight. As the first phase of Project Marlin, a large scale program resulting in a fleet wide implementation of the Maintenix software, the A380 Fast Track provides Qantas with the business processes and system functionality required to support the complex technology of the next generation aircraft.

Implementation of the Maintenix software provides Qantas with such features as Field Loadable Software configuration management and Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approved electronic certification and record keeping, leading to improved management and control of the aircraft through a fully paperless maintenance environment. Integration into a single solution allows the maintenance process to be streamlined, with real-time flow of information and higher quality data enhancing productivity and decision making.

"Our onsite team took the time in the early phases of the program to understand Qantas' current processes and evaluate how to improve them", said Michael Egan, Qantas Project Manager for Mxi Technologies. "Helping Qantas move to a new maintenance and engineering platform and achieve their vision for next-generation fleet management has been a great opportunity for Mxi to showcase what is possible".

"A common approach when implementing a maintenance management software system is to simply automate previously manual processes, which can yield significant benefits" said Les Hine, President of Mxi Technologies. "With the introduction of the A380, Qantas took this one step further and completely re-engineered their business processes, allowing them to fully realize the potential benefits of such technologically advanced aircraft."
