QASymphony Achieves 120% Growth in 2013

New Products and Rapid Innovation Mark Successful 2013

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwired - Jan 8, 2014) - QASymphony (www.qasymphony.com) today announced a record 120% year over year growth in 2013 based on a high pace of innovative development that brought practical solutions to software testers and the QA community. The company credits high demand for its SaaS-based test management platform qTest, to a forward focus on creating tools ideally suited to the demands of today's agile development environments. Every QASymphony product brought to market in 2013 was designed for testers and by testers.

"Reflecting back on the year, I'm proud of the incredible pace of innovation and development that our team has produced," said Vu Lam, CEO. "Innovation and software testing have never been synonymous with each other; our mission is to bring the two together. Listening to the needs of the testing community and developing solutions around that, has made all the difference."

In 2013, QASymphony released 10 major releases, including the launch of three new ground breaking products, qTest Test Management, qTrace v3 for Exploratory and Session-Based Testing, and qSnap, a multi-screen capture documentation tool.

After an extensive beta program involving 500 companies from 23 countries, QASymphony rolled out qTest, its SaaS (software-as-a-service) test management solution. qTest provides a collaborative work environment for teams to manage requirements, design test cases, plan test execution, track defects, and generate status and quality-metrics reports.

By mid-year QASymphony announced a JIRA connector for qTest. The connector for JIRA combines the powerful test management features of qTest with JIRA to create a complete QA management solution. Users benefit from deep levels of integration at both the requirements and defect levels and a detailed, real-time exchange of information between the two systems.

Later in the year the company announced qSnap, a free screen capture and documentation tool and the only plug-in of its kind that works across all popular browsers. qSnap was made for anyone looking to quickly capture one or multiple screen images and share with others. As a documentation tool, qSnap allows users to add their own in-line annotations, note boxes and callouts with a single click. With free hosting of the snaps taken, users can share screen captures with others. The tool can be freely downloaded at http://www.qasymphony.com/qsnap.html.

In June the company announced its support of the Per Scholas education and jobs training program. Per Scholas is a 20-year nonprofit organization that provides free technology education and job placement services to people in underserved communities.

"We believe our test management and productivity solutions help testers meet today's increasing demands," added Lam. "We look forward to carrying this philosophy into 2014 as we build out our integrated testing platform to add even greater value for our customers."
