QSM Announces SLIM Collaborate 2.0, Improving Web-Based Software Project Estimation for the Enterprise

Updates Enhance Data Sharing, Expand Estimation Intelligence to Reduce Project Failure

MCLEAN, VA--(Marketwired - Oct 14, 2015) - Quantitative Software Management, Inc. (QSM), a leader in software process improvement and systems development estimation, today announced the availability of SLIM Collaborate 2.0. SLIM-Collaborate is the "light and lean" Web-based version of QSM's flagship project estimation, tracking, and benchmarking suite. With a streamlined structure and simplified user interface, the updates improve visibility, transparency and global collaboration by making software lifecycle management tools available to everyone involved in software project implementation.

SLIM-Collaborate 2.0, formerly named SLIM-WebServices, includes updates that make it easier to conduct feasibility estimates, as well as closeout, benchmarking, and portfolio management. Data sharing between the web and desktop tools is now even more efficient and automated, connecting every person involved with a project throughout the entire lifecycle to keep projects on time, on budget and ultimately reduce the likelihood of failed implementations.

"The intricacies of implementing a new software project can be complex, and collaboration during every step the estimation and development processes is essential," explains Larry Putnam, Jr., Co-Chief Executive Officer for QSM. "SLIM Collaborate 2.0 allows enterprises to plan, execute and successfully complete their software projects more effectively than ever before by improving data sharing and transparency for each member of the project management team."
