Quality Engineered Homes Turns Homebuilding Industry Upside Down

Factory-built homebuilder offers customers a one-of-a-kind HUG - Homebuyer's Ultimate Guarantee Attention: Assignment Editor, Business/Financial Editor, Home/Garden Editor, Lifestyle Editor, News Editor KENILWORTH, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - March 11, 2005) - What other builder's promise…Quality Engineered Homes (www.qualityhomes.ca) now guarantees! In the history of Canadian homebuilding, Quality Engineered Homes' Homebuyer's Ultimate Guarantee (HUG) is an industry first. The company, one of Canada's leading factory-built housing and cottage manufacturers, has launched the exclusive guarantee program which eliminates homebuyer's frustration with price changes, poor quality materials/workmanship and move-in delays.

"It's about time somebody took the lead to fix what's been broken in the homebuilding industry for years," says Quality Engineered Homes Vice-President of Operations Paul Bunting. "We have listened to customer concerns over common building practices and decided to package and launch our unique Homebuyer's Ultimate Guarantee Program that offers a worry-free homebuilding experience and total customer satisfaction."

Nothing is more aggravating for a homebuyer than to discover their new home will cost far more than originally planned. Worse yet, is having to wait weeks or months beyond a promised move-in date, often having to rent an apartment or stay in a hotel and store possessions before the house is ready to move-in. Poor workmanship and defects are also key issues for homebuyers.

The Homebuyer's Ultimate Guarantee is threefold and consists of a:

· Price Guarantee: The price of the home will not vary from the agreed contract price unless there are changes made before production starts or because of abnormal site conditions. In both cases the homebuyer's approval for additional expenses is required.

· Quality Guarantee: All building material and workmanship will meet or exceed the Ontario Building Code and Construction Performance Guidelines of Tarion. Quality Engineered Homes extends the structural guarantee to a full ten years.

· Completion Date Guarantee: If Quality Engineered Homes fails to have the home ready by the contracted date, they will reimburse homebuyers $250 per day until it is completed.

"We can offer our customers the HUG guarantee because of our state-of-the-art building process," adds Bunting. "Building a home in a quality controlled indoor setting has many cost and time-saving advantages. Our craftsmen work in a comfortable environment so there are no inclement weather delays. Unlike traditional on-site built homes, Quality Homes are not exposed to harsh climate elements, so there is no waste and duplication of materials as a result of weather damage. We also micro manage and control our materials and processes way beyond what would be achievable on an uncontrolled site. Building homes in such favourable conditions ensures customers move in on-time and on-budget."

Quality Engineered Homes now also offers a Convenience Package which eliminates the homebuyer's preparatory work with permits, site work, well and septic installation. A Quality Engineered Homes representative expertly coordinates all aspects of the process. The cost is nominal and is an ideal added value service for the company's customers.

Recently Quality Engineered Homes has increased its focus on the cottage market and has added five new cottage designs to its offering of more than 100 functional designs. Homebuyers have a choice of homes and cottages from 800 to over 3,000 square feet and costing between $95,000 and $400,000 and up exclusive of lot price. Prospective homeowners can use a preferred design plan 'as-is', or 're-adapt' it to suit their needs, or it can provide a custom design to match your lifestyle.

All the prospective homeowner needs prior to choosing a design is an empty lot. If required, Quality Engineered Homes can facilitate contact with real estate agents with lots for sale.
