The Quebec Landlords Association Will Once Again Lend its Assistance to Quebec's Residential Landlords This Coming July 1st

MONTRÉAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwire - June 27, 2011) - For the second year, the Québec Landlords Association (APQ) will offer an "open line" day on Québec's traditional province-wide moving day, July 1st, 2011.

"Following last year's positive response to this event, we've decided to offer it again this year in order to provide advice to landlords who encounter problems on moving day, stated the APQ's President, Martin Messier.

The most often cited problems in 2010 were:

1) Damage caused to the dwelling.

2) Tenants who were supposed to leave the dwelling and refuse to do so, when in the meantime the new tenant arrives to move in.

3) Failure to pay the first month's rent on July 1st.

The APQ is seeking to promote a more harmonious departures and arrivals through a better understanding of the rights and obligations of all parties concerned. For this reason, all Québec residential landlords, whether they or not they are APQ members, can call us for advice throughout the day on July st at 1-888-382-9670.

The APQ is also offering a free guide to landlords on its website at

Founded in 1984, the Québec Landlords Association (APQ) is the largest association of its type serving residential property landlords throughout all regions of Québec.
