Quebec Non-Profit Organization Distinguishes Itself Nationally

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - March 31, 2015) - A grand premier for Montreal's 'La Maison des Greffés Lina Cyr' Micheline Cyr Asselin is honored by the Réseau des femmes d'affaires francophones du Canada - RFAFC (Network of French-Canadian Businesswomen).

The president of the RFAFC, Anne Hébert, confirms : " To be the recipient of this award, candidates must have been at the forefront of changes or have overcome traditional barriers in operating a business or those found in their profession. Moreover, recipients are recognized for their active contribution and exceptional leadership to their community, region, province or nationwide. "

Micheline Cyr Asselin, is Director of the Transplant House since 2003. Hers is the only candidacy retained this year for the network's award for «Business Woman of the Year». She insists: "This honour is important to the extent that it brings increased exposure to the Lina Cyr Transplant House and allows us concretely to generate additional benefits in the medium term."

The jury applauds her most recent initiative: an ecological rooftop garden which will benefit the health and well-being of all organ transplant patients. The project requiring $150,000 in funding will begin shortly once all the donations required have been confirmed.

La Maison des Greffés Lina Cyr, located in Montreal, is unique in North America, and caters to transplant patients and their families from all over Quebec including out-of-province residents such as from Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Nunavut.
