Quebecor Partners with Montreal: World Book Capital

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - March 23, 2005) - Quebecor Inc.
(TSX:QBR.MV.A)(TSX:QBR.SV.B) will be Major Partner and Main Sponsor of
Montreal: World Book Capital, a high-profile year-long series of
activities extending up to April 2006.

"Books are a cornerstone of culture and Quebecor wanted to play an
active role in this prestigious event for Montreal," said Pierre Karl
Peladeau, President and Chief Executive Officer of Quebecor Inc. "Our
Company is a publisher, printer and distributor of books. It also
operates Archambault stores, one of the largest sellers of books in
Quebec. Since our Company has a symbiotic relationship with Quebec's
book community and has been a key player in the development of the
publishing industry, it is committed to making Montreal: World Book
Capital a tremendous popular success that benefits everyone involved in
producing books."

Quebecor had already announced that its print and electronic media
outlets would develop, in collaboration with event organizers, a
multimedia promotional campaign to support the book festival's success
and give it maximum public visibility. Today, Quebecor is unveiling the
details of its involvement as Major Partner of Montreal: World Book
Capital.

Television

The TVA Network will produce and air a weekly program on books, starting
May 7, 2005, to showcase the event. Alternating 30-second spots will
also be aired on TVA and the LCN, Mystere and Argent specialty channels.
A weekly literary program produced by Canal Vox will premiere on the
community channel on May 2, 2005.

Print media

Sun Media Corporation will report on the event and its series of
activities throughout the year. The Montreal: World Book Capital
schedule will be inserted in the Journal de Montreal weekend books
section. New regular features will be added to the section and book
clubs will be set up to stimulate interest in reading. A number of
magazines published by TVA Publishing will help publicize the event. Sun
Media Corporation's Quebec weeklies will provide advertising space
throughout the year.

Retail and distribution

Archambault Group's stores and flyers will promote Montreal: World Book
Capital and Quebec-Livres will distribute posters to Quebec bookstores.
Le SuperClub Videotron will publicize the event in Le VideoMagazine, its
in-store monthly magazine.

Internet

Canoe designed and is hosting the Montreal: World Book Capital Web site.
It will also give the event exposure on its entire network of portals.

Printing

Quebecor World will print promotional and communications materials for
the event throughout its duration, free of charge.

expertise to publicize Montreal: World Book Capital and reach the widest
possible audience. In all, Quebecor and its subsidiaries are providing
goods and services worth approximately $3 million to $5 million.
