Quest Sustainability Is Selected to Manage LEED® Recertification for Two Granite Properties Office Towers

Granite Park I and II Bridge From LEED Initial Certification to Recertification

FRISCO, TX--(Marketwired - Mar 10, 2014) - Quest Resource Management Group, LLC, a subsidiary of Quest Resource Holding Corporation (OTCQB: QRHC) (Quest) is pleased to announce that Granite Properties has selected Quest's Sustainability division to manage LEED recertification projects for both Granite Park I and Granite Park II, two of Granite Properties' Class A office properties in the company's expanding Granite Park development. Granite Park is located on the southeast corner of the Dallas North and Sam Rayburn (121) tollway and is home to Granite Park I, II, and III, as well as Granite Park IV and the Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park, both scheduled to open later this year.

Granite Park I and Granite Park II will be pursuing LEED recertification under LEED for Green Buildings -- Operations and Maintenance (v3). Both buildings have targeted LEED Gold as recertification goals. The Operations and Maintenance rating system encourages owners and operators of existing buildings to implement sustainable practices and reduce the environmental impacts of their buildings, while addressing the major aspects of ongoing building operations.

In 2009, Granite Properties retained Quest Sustainability to manage Granite Park I and Granite Park II's initial LEED certification projects. Under the leadership of Quest Sustainability, both properties attained LEED Gold certification under LEED for Existing Buildings -- Operations and Maintenance (v2.2) rating system. During initial certifications, both buildings achieved:

  • 20% reductions in indoor water consumption
  • 72% (average) solid waste diversion
  • Energy Star Labels of 98 or better

"We are honored to have had the opportunity to work with Granite Properties again on these two buildings, each an example of building operations best practices and efficiencies," said Quest Sustainability's Chase Ezell. "We look forward working with and helping each building's management team attain its LEED certification goal."

Based on their on-going relationship and mutual commitments to create high performance, sustainable buildings, this latest partnership was a natural fit for both companies. Granite Properties is dedicated to creating exceptional work environments for tenants while conserving natural resources. The company's commitment to green initiatives is evidenced in its many environmental awards, LEED Certifications and Energy Star labeled properties. Quest Sustainability Solutions provides a full suite of comprehensive services tailored to help minimize the ecological footprints of your assets, minimize operating costs and maximize stakeholders' satisfaction.
